Digital Citizenship with the support of Association Lina Ben Mhenni organized a tribute to the late activist and Revolution Icon Lina Ben Mhenni in the Public Library in Beni Khalled. Lina's legacy and the love of books were discussed with teenagers followed by a quiz. More than 300 books were donated to the Library.
We started a first phase of the Adolescent Girls in 2018-20. During the pandemic, our field work was interrupted, however, we noticed the total absence of access to information and knowledge. Through this programme, we aim to avoid losing dynamic women from the civic space, in the future, by empowering AG with different skills and competences based on the revealed needs.
Part of building trust and connection with the Adolescent Girls, we organize drawing workshops and other entertainment activities that the girls like and find interesting and educative.
During the 16 days of activism, we took part in a panel discussion about online gender based violence and hosted an awareness session to the Adolescent Girls about digital safety.
As part of countering violence against women and in the frame of the 16 days of activism campaign, Digital Citizenship ran an online campaign to counter “online violence against women and girls”.
The campaign's aim was to understand the different types of online violence, what women and girls should do to avoid that, and where they should go to report it.
