We are devastated by the news of our dearest Lina Ben Mhenni. Lina was a fierce Human Rights Defender and activist during the years of dictatorship and the democracy transition in Tunisia. Lina was an asset to civil society organizations in Tunisia and to the cultural scene. In recent years, Lina has collected more than 45000 books for prisons across Tunisia. We mourn the great loss of our national Lina.
